The 'Call for Innovators' by Berlin-based Futures' Project needed a solution for a small team and volunteers to publicise, manage and document a competition at a global scale. The solution was to build a web-based application with website as the front end for general public, applicants and judges. The backend was a management system which could be used by administrators and volunteers. Built in 3 months, the system handled 650 applications in the first round to narrow down to a cohort of 10 innovators by the third stage.
